Hanover Parish Church, Lucea

Hanover Parish Church, Lucea Hanover Parish Church - Slightly West of Lucea

The Hanover Parish Church is situated in Lucea, on Fort Charlotte Drive. It was constructed in 1725 and, like many of the great churches in Jamaica, was built on the ruins of an older Spanish church which formerly occupied the site. The church used to have a steeple but this was taken down after it sustained serious damage from an earthquake in 1957.
