Whether you are already a lover of vegitarian food or a curious carnivore, a trip to Ashanti Oasis will not leave you dissapointed. All dishes served at Ashanti Oasis are Ital - that is, they meet the strict dietary requirements of the Rastafarian religion, including no use of meat or salt. Delicious dishes are prepared using beans, tofu, rice, vegetables, fruits, lentils, herbs and spices.

A different menu is prepared every day, consisting of soup and 3 or 4 main course options. Most diners tend to opt for the "combo" option, allowing a little taste of all of the day's available dishes. A range of fresh seasonal fruit juices are also offered - again, each time you visit you will be presented with a different choice, usually including one unusual fruit to taste if you are feeling adventurous.

The restaurant is covered but has wide-open wall shutters, allowing uninterupted views of Hope Gardens whilst providing shelter should the rain fall. Tables are arranged around the restaurant's indoor fish pond and waterfall.
