Lime Cay - Take the ferry from Port Royal

Lime Cay is a small uninhabited island approximately 2 miles south of Port Royal. Morgan's Harbour hotel runs regular boats to the Island or you could negotiate a ride with one of the fishermen in Port Royal. Whilst on Lime Cay enjoy picture-perfect white sand beaches and clear seas (most of the pollution gets trapped in Kingston Harbour and does not trouble Lime Cay). At the weekend Lime Cay is busy (but not crowded) with a mainly Kingstonian crowd. During the week Lime Cay is virtually empty (you may even get to have the island all to yourself)!

Cold drinks and cooked Jamaican food are available at the weekend but not during the week, there are picnic tables and shaded areas. There are no shops on Lime Cay so make sure you bring everything you need (during the week this will include food and drink)! There are also no changing facilities.

Trivia: Lime Cay was used as the setting for the final scene of the film The Harder They Come.
