The Court House, Spanish Town

The Court House, Spanish Town The Court House - South side of the parade, Spanish Town

Opposite the old House of Assembly is the Spanish Town Court House. The building (which was designed by architect James Delaney) was completed in 1819, making it the last building to be constructed on the historic square. The ground floor was used for court business and the upstairs housed the town hall. The town hall played host to concerts and plays. The Court House was destroyed by a fire in 1986 and has subsequently been rebuilt.
