White Witch Golf Course - Rose Hall, St. James
Tel:- 1 876 518-0174
The White Witch Golf Course is considered by many to be the most scenic in Jamaica as well as being one of the best in the Caribbean.
The 18 hole course was designed by Robert Von Hagge and Rick Baril and was opened in August 2000. It is set in 600 acres of the 5,000 acre Rose Hall plantation. The course is named White Witch in honour of the fabled white witch of Rose Hall, Annie Palmer.
Much of the scenic beauty of the course comes from the ocean views, which can be seen from 16 of the holes and the mountainous terrain of the Rose Hall estate. The elevated terrace also takes adventage of the cooling trade winds which can take some of the heat out of a summer afternoon round.
The White Witch Golf Course is part of the Ritz-Carlton Golf and Spa Resort of Rose Hall and is in easy reach of the other golfing resorts around Montego Bay such as the Half Moon and Hilton Rose Hall.
The White Witch course is one of several world class golf courses around Montego Bay, making the area an excellent destination for golfers. Other courses nearby include the nearby Cinnamon Hill, Half Moon and the Tryall Club in Hanover, former home of the Johnny Walker tournament.© 2011 Jamaica Travel and Culture .com
