Alfred's Ocean Palace is a Negril institution, having been in operation for over twenty years. Alfred's is owned and operated by Alfred Arthurs (a legend in Negril) and his family.
Parties
Alfred's is one of the liveliest night spots in Negril, music is played every night of the week and big reggae parties are held three nights a week - Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Parties usually begin around 10pm and go on until about 1am, an area of the beach around the stage is enclosed and patrons dance on the sand. The parties are sometimes spiced up by the appearance of fire breathers, limbo dancers and contortionists.
Alfred's holds a New Year's Eve party every year, welcoming the new year with a firework display. Alfred's also hosts the annual Jamaican-International open doubles beach volleyball tournament.
Restaurant
Alfred's is also a restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner right in to the night. Salads, sandwiches and a range of Jamaican and International main courses are available. A particular specialty is seafood, the menu includes several lobster, shrimp and conch dishes.
Rooms
Alfred's is also a hotel offering basic but comfortable rooms. The rooms are by the beach (just walk through the bar and you're there). Double and triple rooms are available. There is also a choice between having a shared or private bathroom.
